Four towers out on Marine Drive provided the 5000 watt directional signal that was the Mighty 91 for 17 years. They were cut down January 29 2012, just a month before Goodguy radio started up on the internet. Thanks to K7YXZ for providing witness. Workers used a gasoline-powered metal cutting saw and a hydraulic shear to simultaneously cut the "inner" and "outer" guy anchors on one side of each tower (but not so simultaneously on the third tower) to fell the towers like a tree. At the end of the video, the track-hoe with the hydraulic shear "gathers" the third tower onto the mat that will limit the spread of the tower's lead paint. The towers are supposed to land on the mats.
